Rainy Faye Bookstore
Bridgeport ------Georgia Day thought that Bridgeport needed an independent bookstore, or any bookstore for that matter. In 2003 she opened the Rainy Faye Bookstore on Broad Street across from the Bridgeport Public Library. In the fall of 2007, Georgia approached CommCap for funding to move to a new location with greater visibility.  CommCap approved a loan for inventory, moving expenses and fit-up costs using GE MoneyBank funds designated for women-owned businesses.  Rainy Faye opened its doors in its new space in August 2008.
